  Outfit details for those interested.

  1. J Brand knee shorts, J Crew neon yellow belt, H&M silk blouse, Matiko glads, Zara sequin blazer.

  2. Same J Brand shorts, Rachel Pally top, Michael Kors straw bag, Report Marks booties, Rock & Republic pendant via Kohl's. I added another picture so you can get a better idea on the booties.

  3. A shorter but looser pair of J Brand shorts. Gap tee, UO belt, Matiko glads.

  4. Vince Camuto slouchy tile pants worn with a Jrs HIP top from last year, trying some pattern mixing. Shoe Mint monster wedges. Same Rock & Republic pendant.

  The neon belt in #1 just kills me. I love how it adds a strong punch to your outfit and you do slouchy pants so well. What are you book ending in last outfit? I can't see in the pic but are your eyes blue?

  These all look great to me. I am particularly fond of the neon belt in 1, the booties work in 2 (I think because they are bookending and nude), the pink on you in 3 and the leopard belt, and those VC pants are great on you. I tried them but returned, did not fit me this fabulously. I particularly like the pattern, color mixing and the silhouette. This is a perfect formula for you, don't stop wearing it while the weather allows.

  Denise I feel the neon belt really "completes" the first outfit. I really like the shorts on you with the loose tops. Its a great silhouette, and is casual but with a very stylish vibe. I don't wear shorts but I would really like to try this look for our summer. I think the booties work because they are short boots and a neutral color.

  The slouchy tile pants look as though they were made for you:). I love the pattern mix with the top.

  I'm with Alicat - you are just the coolest! I especially love #1 - so simple yet so stylish. That's my favorite - it's so hard to beat denim with a white top. Fun pattern mixing in 4/5!

  Oh, Denise, you rock my world. You are going to be my go-to style icon for summer looks from now on. I have been aiming at something like this...but not achieving it because I lack your fabulous tops. I think this is a serious wardrobe hole. Cool tops, in both sense of the word. Next year, I am going for that!

  I can't say which look I love most here. They are all fab. But I would love to copy #2.

  I ADORE the pants on you. I had them in my shopping cart but decided that they wouldn't get worn enough in my climate. They'd be a sort of spring and fall item only and I just don't think I can justify the cost given the number of other things I still need. So I will enjoy them vicariously.

  Loving #1! I tried the white shirt with bermuda denim to copycat Marley a few seasons back and it bombed. I wanted to look like this! Perfect.

  Suz -- I am so honored to be a summer style reference for you. It has been above-average hot this August but I am determined to make more effort even in my most casual outfits. For this reason, the peak of summer has always been my most challenging style season.

  Mo & Deb -- #1 is my favorite of the lot as well. The silk blouse was marked down to only $20 at H&M, I will get much more wear out of it as I can layer underneath it for warmth and the color is season-spanning.

  Jayne & Suz -- my thighs and no longer flat abs are my body hang-ups. I am sure if I could see my rear more often I would worry about that too. Thanks for saying my thighs aren't as big as I think!

  Parsley Pants Twin -- I love the way the pants look on you! You are obviously taller than I as they don't pool as much at the feet.

  I think it's interesting no one picked up on the fact that the knee shorts aren't really on trend this season. They are the only premium brand that still made them this summer!   I clicked in because I've never seen you look anything but great in a shorts outfit and I like to peek at yours for inspiration -- and these are no exception.

  I get the insecurity thing but ye god you have amazing proportions *and* legs for this sort of look. I prefer the delicacy of the gladiators due to the seasonality/temps thing, but a) you could guess that coming from me and b) the pale booties are do-able with the shorts too.

You've got me considering the VC pants, although you're probably a size smaller than me so I'm thinking I'm out of luck now. Anyway, I feel like every one of these is cleverly put together with just the right attention to detail - neon belt, pattern mix, slouch, etc. So inspiring.
