WIW -- Obssessed with Ripped Jeans!

... To the point where the rest of my wardrobe is feeling rejected.
1. They suit my casual lifestyle.
2. The loose, boyfriend cut and 100% cotton fabrication are comfortable in hot weather.

Here are an assortment of WIWs over the past several weeks. All featuring True Religion Cameron boyfriend jeans in either a dark or mid-wash.

Thanks for looking and curious what your opinions are of this look.

Ooh, I love these, too! I can see why they are a favorite. I really like how the light wash ones have the peek of white where the threads show - great with your white toppers.

I love you in distressed jeans, Denise! You totally wear these with panache in your 50s and I do not say that lightly. Few people do, but YOU do.

Just adore your lab and shopbop poses. Thanks for rocking my style world Queen Torn Jeans.

LOL Angie, Shopbop poses! Yes that on line retailer snags quite a bit of my cash and I love their editorial.

Are they ripped or just distressed? Most of my pairs are really faded and distressed, meaning frayed at the hems and seams, but no holes.

I could never get the holes in the knees thing, but yours look great with the distressing on the thighs.

Well, I adore this look on a few people, you, Nicoleb, and Scarlet being three of them. I think you totally pull this off. I LOVE these outfits.

You look so chic and edgy in the ripped jeans! Totally awesome! I haven't tried a pair yet and am curious about them. You make them look so cool!!!

I really enjoy your style Denise and to me the ripped jeans really reflect what you're about! Definitely some looks there I aspire to :)

I do not like distressed jeans, but they are phenomenal on you :-)

  • san replied 11 years ago

    You look great!

Love the distressed jeans! I really want to find some TR Camerons to try on in person.

    #4 is my favorite.

  • Heather replied 11 years ago

ACK! Denise! You are soooo freakin' cool!! L<3VE.

  • CocoLion replied 11 years ago

Thanks ladies! I can't say enough about the fit and quality of these TR jeans. No sliding, either as they are 100% cotton. (My other TRs which have stretch don't slide either, I think because of the care they take with fit as well as the curved waist bands.)

And right, they are not exactly ripped they are distressed and they are also patched from the back to prevent further tears.

Although they are mostly sold out, Camerons are on sale now at TR stores and on line. Try to go to a store, the sizing varies quite a bit. I have them in 26, 27 and 25.

I just got the white ones, I had to size all the way down to a 25. I think the others run more TTS.

You could also try Shopbop and see if they will price match.

Unrolled, these jeans have about a 31-32" inseam and with the slouchiness that is enough length for a lot of us.

You really rock this look! Especially in the first three :) Im not usually a fan of distressed jeans, but you look great in them! Totally suits you :)

  • annagybe replied 11 years ago

My favorite is #1. May have to copy cat that once it warms up again. Today we're back in the low 60's.

  • jayne replied 11 years ago

You are perfect in these. I like the way they slide over the body, not hug tightly and suit your style. Knowing where you live these must be perfect!

  • Mo replied 11 years ago

I love these on you! And I am glad I did NOT try them on, or I might be hunting some down myself. Can't afford to until at least fall . . .
But you are SO getting your Cost Per Wear down on these babies! Lookin' good!

  • Laura replied 11 years ago

You have singlehandedly changed my opinion about ripped jeans. You look incredible ! (curtsying to the Queen)

  • jen replied 11 years ago

    Love love love it!

  • Aida replied 11 years ago

Seriously Denise your style is soooo cool!! I am loving these jeans on you, the distressing on them is just perfect. I cannot pick a favorite, they are all straight up awesome. I have been waffling on the same Report booties you have on in #1 and am totally sold on keeping them now even though I don't have or wear jeans like this. But if I did I would copy that in a heartbeat!!

  • Deborah replied 11 years ago

Such great style! The distressed jeans look very cool. Hard to pick a favorite. It I do like #4. Were you off somewhere special. The white looks great amd I love the femininity of the top layers here.

  • kellygirl replied 11 years ago

Love this, Denise! You totally rock the distressed jeans! Fab!

  • CocoLion replied 11 years ago

Thanks Deborah I was in San Francisco with my Mom for a few days, I always carry a jacket when I'm there. It can get warm but then if you're standing on a windy corner, it feels freezing suddenly. I think I took this picture in the humble dressing rooms of H&M.

1, 3, and 4 have me just so way over the top excited, I can't believe I almost missed this post! (2 and 5 are good too.) Oh my word, you stylish thing! I think I heart 1 the best. You are combining pretty much everything I want to, but I just can't manage to zero in on the particular pieces I need--the summery white tops, the neon belt, the arm candy, the quasi-ethnic vibe, the fabulous blazers, the cuffed jeans and booties. Just awesome. I am sure you know I am right there with you on the ripped jeans love. That part I am all over :)

  • CocoLion replied 11 years ago

Thanks Scarlet, your post made my day! I am so glad I am not alone on team distress.

  • Suz replied 11 years ago

Denise, you look amazing. I learn so much from paying attention to the details the outfits you post. It's all deceptively simple but the reason it works so well is the way you put it together. Oh, for that skill. I think I have a lot of learning to go.

I love distressed denim on the right person and you ARE the right person. You are making me want to copy #1 (I have the Reports) and I can't pick favourites among the others because they are all so fab.

  • replied 11 years ago

You are always a rock star in my book, Denise, and these look amazing on you! My favorites are 1, 3, and 4. Oh, and I want to hug your dog!
