WIW - Loungewear inspired by a tree

Every once in a while we share loungewear here on YLF.  This is my get-out-of-bed uniform most of the year.  (I don't do traditional loungewear.)  In the winter I add a chunky cardigan and booties.  I keep repeating variations on the theme of green and pink/red because it reminds me of this Mimosa tree.  Which matches my watermelon flip flops perfectly!  Oddly high happiness factor with these outfits -- I think it's the colors.

Jeans -- TR Cameron in Missouri wash (over 2 years old), both tees are from Gap, also 2 years ago.  Flip flops are new from H&M, purchased this month -- already the print is coming off, go fast fashion.

Anyone else purge their lounge/yoga pants in favor of boyfriend jeans?

Awesome lounge wear!  Actually, I would call it casual wear, really.  That tree and the flowers are gorgeous.

Oh, I love the colours! It looks very stylish as well as comfy.

You are too cute... I love how everything just flows together with that amazing happiness factor :-)

I know what you mean about not wearing traditional lounge wear - I don't either. I think these look great and it's the color and fit that makes them stylish.

I'll call this 'stay in' wear.  Kicking around the house, etc.  Not strictly curling up on the couch to lounge.  And I love it!  Those flip flops are too fun!
(I treated myself to a radiant orchid $6 pair from BigLots a few weeks back for the lap swim at the pool and the joy factor is high for me, too)

You look lovely in your inspired by. The answer to your question is no, I wear jeans everyday at work so it's just the opposite for me in lounge wear.

This is my casual weekend look!  I LOVE IT!

I am not surprised that some of you totally "get" this…

And I wonder if anyone else feels like it isn't summer without cheerful flip-flops?  The sound takes me back to earliest childhood!  Yes I am a nostalgic child of the 60s/teen of the 70s.

BTW the photo in #1 was really difficult to take.  I couldn't get my feet in the picture, so I tried to lean back to make myself fit in the frame, but it still failed and the branches got in my hair.  So much easier taking pictures in my "yellow corner."

In some circles in my neck of the woods, you are dressed up ;-)

For me, loungewear doesn't involve anything digging into my middle! And definitely no belt.

The flip flops don't agree with my feet but they sure are cheery. The recent slip on trend has really helped me with comfy shoes to slip on. All of my sandals have straps.

I love your inspiration.  It is just lovely.  You look great. I particularly like the flops because they remind me of the Portuguese soccer team's uniform.  :  )

    I know, they lost.    :  (

You lounge is style, Delightful Denise. Those watermelon flip flops are delicious.

My yoga pants are for yoga. I lounge in casual clothes like you do - BF jeans are the best.

I miss you around here. You are working too hard. xo

I don't even wear yoga pants at the gym.
If I'm really sick, I have a super ugly pair of khaki sweatpants.
    You look fine.

Those Flipflops are adorable! Love the watermelon theme!

And wow, I want to say that what you're wearing is "dressed up" for loungewear! :) love it!

I'm still the yoga pants/leggings girl, although a lot of my loungewear consists of a tunic, leggings and sometimes a cardi :)

I like the idea of somewhat-loose jeans for lounging/homewear. Having to wear a belt with bf's would get to me, though. Too many pieces, and too tight on the middle. Those are the cutest summer flip flops!

  • Neel replied 9 years ago

Oh Boy! You do realize you are setting real high standards for lounge wear right? :) those watermelon flip flops are too cute and the tees are such pretty colors on you! No wonder your happiness factor is high in these!

  • Adelfa replied 9 years ago

I wear jeans or shorts or cropped khakis for what I call dog walking but is also lounging! Good to see you!

  • Lyn D. replied 9 years ago

I wear similar, but in the coldest weather fleecy track-pants still are my favourites. I will walk my dog and work-out in them, but change into jeans if leaving the house on errands etc.
You look great in your lounge-wear!

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

Ha! I call this "work at home."  :)

And yup, it's my usual. Well, now I have switched to BF shorts for the heat and humidity, but same idea.

You look sensational in those bright watermelon colours. No wonder they give you a high happiness factor. And flip flops feel like summer, for sure. Those ones are especially fun.

  • BethL replied 9 years ago

Denise, this is my idea of loungewear, too! Like Suz, I'm subbing in BF shorts at this time of year. Love the shot of you with your tree. Kinda looks like it's hugging you.
