WIW -- Update the Dated Challenge

What is dated: The slim fit layering tee is somewhat dated. I think I got it summer 2010.

The straight legged jeans aren't exactly dated but they're not the super slim cropped style that is trendy right now. Also a 2010 item.

My updating techniques:
- I layered the sheer striped grey tee with a neon yellow tank. (On trend color)
- The belt is also neon yellow. (On trend color)
- Using a grey daytime clutch. (On trend bag)
- Grey and neon yellow are an on trend color combo.
- Neutral wedge sandals aren't exactly trendy but not dated either (I just got these, they are from DV).

Overall the look is more classic than my usual waist-surrendering approach.

It looks fab on you but I didn't realize things from 2010 are considered "dated". :( I love how you put the tank under the t-shirt and I adore the nude wedges with the dark jeans!

Like the way you take different pieces & combine thm into a lassic look with a bit of an edge i.e. the neon yellow.

2010 dated? I sure hope not! You look modern and stylish.

Coco--you look great and current in this outfit. I wouldn't have considered any of the items dated. However, I'm probably slow to catch on to trends and hang on to some of my clothes too long.

Not dated but is terrific! Fun new combination for you too.

I also had a hard time figuring out why those items were dated, but now they look extra fresh and current!

I like how you think when you play dress-up, Denise! ;-)

That pop of neon and the daytime clutch make such a difference to basics!

I don't see these individual pieces as dated... IMO the striped tee is more classic but just not cutting edge on trend. I love how you wore it here, especially with the shoes!
