WIW -- London Fog Trench

... Combined with tonal separates. Tonal dressing is my #1 favorite trend of the season. Have I mentioned that I also like colored denim? ;-)

This is the only WIW I'm posting this week. I hurt my arms lifting things I shouldn't. My bf scolds me and tells me to use him. He says, "I'm your donkey." I just love donkeys.

Outfit details:
Else yellow jeans (Macys), Elements cream blouse (Macys), 80%20 spotted booties (Ideeli). Willi Smith cotton/linen sweater and London Fog trench both from TJ Maxx.

Supercute! The necklace is so perfect here, in width and length. It anchors all the other elements. Spotted booties are the perfect colour. Are they heeled?

Oh my gosh, Denise. I know I've said this before, but it just feels as if you have REALLY come into your own, style wise. This is so brilliant! K to the power of K, indeed. I LOVE the necklace with it, too. Subtle, but arresting.

This tonal dressing is so beautiful on you. And this combo has to be one of my favourites yet.

The necklace is the perfect, yet minimal, accessory. The booties are TDF, the trench adds a balancing classic element to it all. Love, love, love :-)

Take care of your arms - your BF sounds like a sweetheart!

I love what Suz said, "subtle, but arresting". The tonal outfits are so beautiful on you. I'm glad you have several pairs of colored jeans so that you can create one for every color in the rainbow! Love the new trench in all it's glory. It looks like it's Burberry counterpart on you! Great photo, did your .....BF (I cannot bring myself to call him a donkey) take it?

  • CocoLion replied 12 years ago

Ladies -- Thank you for so many kind comments! I am taking a few days off, and will rest up my arm. I appreciate your concern.

Angie -- I am thrilled this outfit gets a k to the power of k! Thank you!

LOL Claire, bf regularly refers to himself as my donkey. I actually love donkeys and am planning on getting a mama (Jenny) and baby donkey for the ranch. No Jack, my bf doesn't need the competition. ;-)

Krish -- The pendant is vintage from the 1920s, I got it at a local antique store. Here's a picture of the shoes (also for Parsley).

Tarzy and Suz -- Thanks for noticing my style progression. I learned it from Angie and all of you. And as Angie says, style is something that is constantly evolving. Who knows what we will all be wearing next year?
