WIW -- A little Aida, a little Rachel Zoe

I saw this on Aida's thread, it inspired me to pull out my furry vest and go Boho (pictures 1 & 2). Now I am waving goodbye to my brown things for the season, this feels a little wintery for a Spring day!

Ooooh so lovely Denise! I am tickled to have inspired you :D What an awesome pendant, too (I love stone jewelry). I think this brown vest could work really well with pastel shades to make it feel more springy. LOVING that PPL!

EDIT: You know, I think I wear more brown in spring/fall and more black in summer/winter. Not that I wear a lot of brown to begin with, though hehe

Denise you look stunning. You look so tall (are you?). This is perfect styling to my eye and your flowing hair looks lovely. The vest seems to be just the right length and I really like the cut of it.

FAB FAB FAB!!! I find it interesting how equally well you wear skinny jeans and bell bottoms - lucky you! This vest is beautiful and as Deborah points out, is the perfect length and cut on you. Bye bye brown - see you in the fall!

Wowza! This is ah-mazing on you Denise! I love, love LOVE it! Super-cool. I'll let you put up your furry vest, and maybe even the brown, but ph-leeeze don't pack those flared jeans away yet. This is the perfect weather to wear them (no snow) and you can really rock that 70's vibe. So unbelievably fab!

"It's an old romance, that boho dance/
    it hasn't gone to sleep..."

Denise, you look flat out stunning and this is what I mean when I say boho is my shadow or fantasy style.

    Sigh....

This is a great boho look. I love the blue pendant with the brown. And the jeans are super on you.

I love the pendant with the blouse, furry vest and flared jeans. Perfect!

Fabulous! You do this look to perfection.

This is a very glamourous looking 'boho' and it looks amazing on you! I love the pop of blue with the pendant. Just fabulous!

Beautiful, Denise! You rock flares so well.

I love your interpretation! You look like a model in a photo shoot. Super cool!

You and Aida found perfect faux fur vests for yourselves!

  • sarah replied 12 years ago

Denise, you are TOO, TOO MUCH. Wow, can you ever pull off that look and then some.

  • ManidipaM replied 12 years ago

Denise, you look divine --- that's the STUNNING 70s Show! So cool to interpret it in chocolate rather than plain-vanilla peasant-blouse white. I second Claire --- please leave the flares out for spring/summer? Am also a little in love with your necklace... ::sigh:: Delightful browsing your photos!

You do boho so well! OMG - I should have thought of you! I have some platform clogs (7.5) and a suede coat (Jr. small) that I've decided are both leaving my closet. Should I save them for your next Tahoe trip? I loved them, but I moved away from brown and am not looking back.

  • Scarlet replied 12 years ago

    I love it, Denise!

Seeing that I came of age in the 70s, yes, I will always have a soft spot for Boho style. Thanks for the many affirmations ladies.

Mo -- I am oohing and ahhing over the suede coat. Can you wear it without the belt? (Wear a size 6 or 6.5 shoes so clogs wouldn't work.)

  • Mo replied 12 years ago

It has belt loops but the belt is not attached. I imagine you could remove the loops if you like. Let me measure the waist really quick . . . be right back :)

It's 34" across the waist unbelted and 36" long with 39" across the bust. Of course, being somewhat heavy suede and lined, you'll need an extra inch or two of leeway.
