WIW September Colors

Where I live it is most certainly still summer.  Temps between 88-98 F (over 30 C).  But, I see leaves falling off the trees and this makes me want to change my color palette, while still being comfortable in the high temps.

1/2.  Angie pick Three Dots harem pants.  I think black and white is the perfect color scheme for September, don't you?  But I overdid it on the neon highlights, I think my white watch would have worked better than the orange one.   This accessory flaw is more visible in picture 2.
3.  Tuxedo stripe skinnies.  Milking the colored skinnies thing a bit longer!  Not sure if this top works 100% color or style wise.  Rather than a semi tuck I am trying a loose tuck in both of these outfits, just for a change.
4.  Casual shorts outfit.  I was planning to ditch this pale green top from Zara, the shoulder line is not flattering, but kept it because it feels right for September.

Thanks for looking and opining.

Love everything about 1/2!  I hear you on the heat, despite the official season change on the horizon.

  • catgirl replied 10 years ago

Love 1/2 and the loose tuck is fun - you look really tall there!

    I always love your posts.
So if you put necklace in 3 with outfit for 1 and 2 would that alleviate the accessory flaw? I think.
You look tres parisien in these and I'm loving it.

Love the harem pants on you. That is such a cool silhouette. I love it head to toe. I think you can milk the colored skinnies for awhile. They look amazing on you. I like the pairing with the stripes--unexpected. You look effortlessly stylish!

JJsloane that might work.  What I was trying to go for was both green and orange bits as seen in the shoes and necklace.  The orange in the watch is quite different from the orange in the shoes.  Maybe I'm overthinking it!

Black & White is the perfect colour scheme year round if you as me :)

You look so elegant and hip in #1. I just love that type of easy drape for your style. Gorgeous with the pop of orange on the sandals. There's your hint of Autumn.

#3 is Trendy Farm Gal At Her Best. xo

Love those harem pants - you look so casually glamorous in all of these.

That harem pants outfit is beautiful on you. Relaxed, elegant, and oh so hip.

I like the skinny jeans outfit, too. The soft colours fit the landscape. You are looking extremely beautiful.

You are looking especially beautiful. I love the way that you are wearing your hair a d the outfit in 1/2 and how you look in the soft colors of 3/4. Besides that, you have an awesome shoe collection.

Really love 1 and 2 on you. The skinnies are great too. You have such a lovely face, I love looking at your pics.

You always look lovely. And I love the look with your hair down!

The black and white is gorgeous, I love it! You look terrific in everything here though.

I think the neon mix would work if there was a ton of neon. Right now it's just tasteful touches.

You and Mo are officially our resident rockstar models with your gorgeous location photos! Wow. Love all your fall color combos.

I think I do agree with you about 1-2... one too many neon items for a single outfit. LOVE those harem pants, though!

My word, Denise! You look so good and so fashionable! I love that harem pants outfit, and I completely agree with Angie about you and drape. Perfection! And those blush skinnies with the side stripes are stellar. You act like they are just barely in style. Silly girl; you put us all to shame. Jealous of your temps too. It was 110F here today.

You look jaw-droppingly incredible!  #1 is my favourite.  Those parents are fantastic!

YLF CL. I would like to see #1-2 without the jewellery & with the white watch - but it's just personal preference. I love the pants too.
I love the way you look "at one" with your surroundings in your photos.

You are the Queen of Simple Effortless Chic. I love 1/2 and don't mind the orange watch, but sure the white one would be great, too.

I love the loose tuck and drapey luxury feel in #1 and #2 and I like JJ's idea for swapping the necklace out. The soft muted tones are lovely on your colouring too in #3 and #4 looks fine to me, I like the top.

  • texstyle replied 10 years ago

I think all 3 of these are great but I esp. love the photo of you in #3 - you look so relaxed yet glamorous and so pretty. Very "movie star".

  • Lisa replied 10 years ago

#1-I like the orange accents, here, it's a fun pop of color against the black and white.  Those pants fit you like a dream!

#3-Pretty soft colors here and that's a fun wedge heel.

#4-Looks like a great casual outfit.  Does the green top work with the pink pants in #3 too for an outfit remix?

I like the orange watch. If I am seeing the color right your shoes also have some orange in them so it pulls it together.
I like the slim jeans. I can't tell by the picture if the navy stripped top is a good color match or not. Is there a navy strip going down the side of your pants?
You look very pretty in the short outfit but with you setting down can't make a fashion judgement.

I turn green with envy at how good you look in those harem pants.  I think the neon is fun and overdoing it a little is part of the fun.
