Photos 1/2 -- Super casual day off outfit. This is my first pair of cropped boyfriends; I know everyone else has been wearing them since last year. But it took me a while to warm to the idea of them.

#1 -- Worn with baby wedge Splendid sandals.
#2 -- Worn with DV wedges from last year. This is one of those occasions where I think the lower heeled option might look better. I think I'm over these wedges too.

Photo 3 -- For a slightly dressier occasion (and cooler weather). I fear my expression borders on sexy face! I was trying to look relaxed but serious while walking towards my camera.

1/2 -- Paige "James" cropped boyfriend jeans. Bird of prey graphic muscle tee, gold braid belt, and necklace all UO.
3 -- Rag & Bone jeans, Madewell tee, Adia Kibur necklace (all Shopbop).Jacket from Nordstrom, Shoes from ShoeMint.

Wow. That first outfit is hands down my favorite of any of yours! I love the soft flowy top, and the cropped bf jeans absolutely look divine!!!

Love the first outfit especially but all variations are fab. I still like those nude wedges but I think the lower heel looks fresher. Love the bomber and BF in 3--I kind of wished I kept that jacket. It looks awesome on you!

Yay, a Denise WIW! Always a treat. I think the first outfit is best with the lower heels, too. Fabulous casual chic, great proportions. I have a similar pair of nude wedges, but I haven't worn mine more than a few times this season either. Outfit #2 is also fab! Love the dark shoes with the jacket and the color mix. Your expression is very charming :)

Denise, the BJ jeans look really good. I find I really prefer a nice slim line on BF jeans. The combinations here look really lovely. Everything is just right.

I love #1 - with the cropped BFs and the tee. I have a pair of AG cropped BFs and I've kind of struggled with them this summer in trying to figure out how to wear them - you know, how far up to roll the cuffs - what kind of shoes, etc. This gives me a really clear picture of what might work! However, my BFs are not as tapered as yours in the legs - so I'm not sure. I also love #3 - the black shoes with the black from the jacket ties it all together. Also, are you wearing more makeup than usual? Yours eyes and lips just pop!

Kelly, I have found more occasions to wear this jacket than I expected, and it's my only bomber. So, a happy purchase.

Marley, I've got eyeshadow and fresh lip stain on in these pictures. I think that's the change vs. control group.

Sexy face happens because you know you're looking good! I agree with Deborah I love the long line of the jeans. The jacket and striped top win for me by a hair. I think it's the high contrast.

And I absolutely agree with you about #1. Gorgeous soft colours on you and beautiful proportions! I am grateful for your comment re proportion on my thread, by the way. You have inspired me to do a bit of pinning today to see if shortening the new skirts (rather than lengthening the old one) might be the smarter path, since they will be worn primarily with booties or tall boots (should I ever find a pair of those...).

You have totally NAILED the cropped BF's Denise! Love outfit #1 in particular - the attention to detail with the perfect semi tuck and gold accessories completely makes this look. And of course, BF's rolled to the perfect length IMHO. I do prefer the first outfit with the Splendid sandals.

The second outfit is beautifully layered and I love how the coral bits in the jacket are highlighted by the coral stripes in the tee.

You look great in rolled bfs! I adore the bird shirt. The wedges are very cute but I know what you mean--since Angie said in the Spring that shoes are more refined, I moved away from that type of shoe, very happily.

Wow, I can't believe this is your first shot at cropped BFs. You've nailed the look perfectly, and the first outfit seems like such a signature look for you already. I prefer it with the Splendid sandals - the little pop of color is so fun.

Well, I just want to shout, What took you so long? You look terrific in the cropped boyfriend jeans. I like how much they're rolled, the fit, and how you've styled them with the graphic tee semi-tucked, the necklace, belt. I prefer the flats but the wedges work, too. I like the juxtaposition of the daintiness of the flats with the BFs. (A note I picked up from Angie's outfit post, with dainty pumps and BF jeans.)
I am wowed by the bomber outfit, too. Love the pattern-mixing, the cool black shoes picking up the black in the jacket. Your runway-walk photo makes you look like a model, but an approachable one!

Love the cropped BFs on you. Shows off the dainty ankles and pretty sandals. I have been rolling my Camerons up higher lately to accommodate my boots, too. These could well follow into the Fall.

Way to make the BFs your own with a very-Denise tonal outfit. And on trend with pops of neon plus that great necklace that play off the tomboyishness of the jeans! I surprised myself by preferring the coloured low heels to the nude wedges too.

Loving the sexyface outfit with the cool shoes and bold pattern mix, too.
