WIW -- Pacific Urban Style Persona

Angie came up with this style persona for me. I really like its simplicity and the more I think about it, it really fits.

1 -- Here's the reason I got this red clutch that you've been seeing so much of. It elevates an all or mostly black outfit like this instantly!

2/3 -- My Cameron bf jeans, heavily distressed. I love the top which is oversized/dolman style but the print makes the top look less big. Unfortunately I discovered a hole in it today. The booties are from 80%/20. They are pretty weird but they put a smile on my face.

Both so cool looking Denise! I looove this black leather jacket, I'm hoping to find something similar (but maybe with more distressing). FAB red clutch in #1, it really stands out wonderfully against the black. Love the lighter overall look of #2, and how you looped your belt around even though it's already through the belt loops (such a great detail). And the light booties really make that second outfit for me, especially once the black jacket goes on in #3! Looks very fresh.

The red clutch does add a nice punch to a black outfit. I love it!

Love your top too, especially with the cool leather jacket over it. Very hip!

Denise, you look fabulous, as always! Pacific Urban is perfect for you. It captures the urban, touched with just a hint of tough rural, that I love so much about your style. Very fashion forward, but in a slightly raw, very authentic way. (My style crush on you continues!)

I get such a laid-back, effortlessly sophisticated and authentic vibe from your style - really love it!

Love #2, the color gradient and cut of the top and arm candy are my fav. Great red bag = instant pop!

Oh, the weather looks better there today!
Is that Coco in the background of pic 2?
Love your outfits, especially the top! Hope you can repair the hole and that it is not in an obvious spot.
I would happily wear all these- am finding 'Dress-week' a challenge- just love my jeans etc.

That dolman top is really neat, and great leather jacket!

Denise, both outfits are fabulous. I love how the red clutch provides a burst of color to your all black outfit. Gorgeous leather coat, too! Love the oversized dolman top on you but I'm so sorry to hear about the hole in it. Where is it located? I'm having a terrible time with my knit tops lately. Little holes are showing up in the waist area. It's a mystery to me.

Ooh, Pacific Urban. I like it! I almost want to add it to my own persona to make it PUWP. West-coast urban is so different from east-coast urban. I am really loving that ombre top, too; it looks like it will go with a lot in spring as well... is there a way to salvage it despite the hole?

  • Jaime replied 11 years ago

Pacific is laid back and urban is the (dare I way) cool, aware factor so I can see why you like the descriptor! You look amazing in all of these. What I especially like is they give a great overall impression, but then when I look carefully I can see how each detail in so interesting and just right. And, btw, I just discovered 80%20 myself!

Love those booties! What is weird about them? They are perfect bookends to your hair. And the top is really neat - what a shame about the hole. The leather jacket is so fab! It was worth the long wait.

You look SO GOOD, Madame Pacific Urban (middle initial Shopbop).

And I'm wearing my Camerons today! Although they look very different to yours, yet fit in the same roomy way. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

And you know how I much prefer an almost all black outfit to an all black outfit - so #1 is KILLER, and of course, your second look is too.

    Woohoooo Queen Pacific Urban!

  • amiable replied 11 years ago

Oh, I love that dolman sleeved top - print and all! And the jacket too - I've been watching for a similar one.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 11 years ago

I one day hope to have a pair of jeans that look that good on me Denise - love you in those Camerons!

That red clutch is so fabulous with the black outfit. So chic!

Denise, you wear jeans insanely well! I've been on the hunt for black jeans just like yours. Black that is not quite black, but a lot darker than grey. Yours are perfect, just a tiny bit faded. They are proving difficult to find!

Love the leather jacket, and the mix of different shades of black make this outfit so interesting. And of course the red clutch, perfect accent.

#2', the top is great, love it with the jeans (I wish boyfriend jeans didn't hate me). And those boots are brilliant. Love Urban Pacific for you!

You are so "West Coast Cool" as well. Love your style and your new descriptor! I'd tell you to run with it, but it looks like you already are. :)

    Thank you Ladies.

Tina the jeans are from James Jeans.

Unfortunately they are sold out of some key sizes though.

I got these too, they are a faded black. They were a little darker than the James Jeans. I ended up returning them because the distressing fell in the wrong places on me. But I did like how they were more jean than the above Twiggy's which are legging jeans.

Lyn the dog isn't Coco that's Oliver! He is a mixed breed rescue dog.

And I forgot to mention that the top has another 5 holes in it! I have no idea where they come from. Some of them are close to each other, they might have come from my cat who has snagged or put holes in many a garment and furntiture.

  • jayne replied 11 years ago

Love the clutch making a pop of color in 1, other wise classic Denise!
and 2, I drool. You really known how to wear those jeans and the top is trendy, perfectly styled and just fun
3 is my favorite...I am seeing EA all over this!

  • Deborah replied 11 years ago

Denise, great looks! Those white booties are quite cool looking. Do they have a wedge heel? You are right the red clutch does just add that little 'something', it was a great addition to your wardrobe. And the top in #2 is really striking, I love on you.

  • Caro in Oz replied 11 years ago

What shevia said - laid back & cool. Such a great look on you. I love all these looks equally, but I do love the leather jacket.

  • cciele replied 11 years ago

The red clutch does add a great pop of color to #1! And I love the dolman top and slouchy styling of #3. Sorry to hear about the holes :(

  • Scarlet replied 11 years ago

1 looks very sleek, and I just love the fun shape of the clutch. At first I thought maybe the shirt should be longer, but then I realized the shorter shirt makes it a lot more rock'n roll and boyish in a modern way. Love the soft blues of the second one and how well the volume works. The shoes don't look weird in the photo.

  • Mona replied 11 years ago

#2 looks so laid back yet very sophisticated and yes these booties go perfectly with your hair. Great bookending and the BF jeans look great.

  • anne replied 11 years ago

    Wow! You are so cool!

  • rachylou replied 11 years ago

The dolman top is brilliant. The sort of ombre tie-dye is so elegantly Pacific Urban. The sneaks, the moto... also brilliant and perfect.

I like the insight about the red clutch. (Did I give away my red clutch? I have to save it!)

  • kellygirl replied 11 years ago

You are SO Pacific Urban! I love your style. The dolman top is beyond awesome and I love the light colored booties!
