My NAS items

I had good results from NAS this year.  Although a lot of my wish list items were sold out for the duration of the sale, I found some other things I'm happy with.

Veronica Beard Arya Terracotta jeans.  Keeping.  Only drawback is the exposed metal buttons on the back pockets which damages my car seat "leather" when I get into the drivers seat.  I selected a Nordstrom Everyday tank to go with it, not part of NAS but a perfect match color-wise.  I am trying to update my jeans and pants to more current silhouettes and this is a start.  In the second picture I rolled them once to achieve the cropped look on the stock photo.

The other box this outfit ticks is buying and wearing some earth tones.  I got lots of compliments when I wore these pieces the other day.

Angie pick long sleeved pink stripe tee.  Not yet worn, but keeping.  It will go well with my pastels.

Natori wireless bra set.  Keeping, but had to re-order for the proper size, I thought it ran big compared to the Feather and other Natori styles so had to size down to a smaller band and cup.  I love the one size fits all bikinis.

Nordstrom Recycled Cashmere Scarf -- Replacing a lilac scarf from a past NAS that has many many holes.  A little darker and smaller than the old one but worth a place in my closet.  Maybe it will hold up better.

Keeping all three black items for work.  The Ted Baker Bardot top is especially flattering.

On the fence about the Frame Pixie boot cut jeans.  Not a NAS item but it's really hard to find shorter length boot cuts and flares.  They are about .5 to 1 inch too short but maybe they will loosen?  I will try and post a picture.

Almost sure to be returning:  Frame Le Sylvie crop jeans.  Not flattering on me, the rise is too long and they aren't cropped on me at all.  But maybe I should post a picture here too.

100% Returning:  the Sam Edelman boots.  Width is good in the 6.5 but way too long in the toe box for my stubby toes.  Not really good for high volume feet, I was probably warned by Angie but thought I would try them anyway.

What a great haul! Lots of love for those VB pants and the tank - great fit and color for you! I suppose you can just cover your car seat when you wear them - hopefully not too much of a nuisance?

I tried on the Sylvie jeans in store and the long rise fit me really well - but the back pockets were so widely spaced apart, it almost looked like a sewing accident. (I try not to fuss too much about the back view but there are limits!)

I would have snatched up that Bardot top in a heartbeat if it came in white or navy. So glad you nabbed one!

Love the matching tank and pants! Great color and i love the column of color…and the lilac scarf…great color!
That bra has become my go to since the start of the pandemic, super comfortable. I found it TTS, but then the feather bra never worked for me….

The earth tones look amazing on you!  Thanks for the info about the Natori set....this is a style I've had my eye on.

You did well.  The first outfit is amazing on you.  The color brings out your natural coloring, especially your lips.

Cocolion - what a great NAS! Super jeans fun and flattering! And how great is that to find a matching tank. Tops are great. You have a good eye. Curious, if you don’t mind me asking, did you keep that fabulous pink paisley blazer? I had major wantsies but it was ways off my colorway. Again, great eye! You always select beautiful and unique pieces!

Those terracotta jeans are fantastic! Excellent pieces for you, all. It’s nice to see you again — you’re looking marvelous!

Love those VB Aryas in terracotta with the matching tank. What a beautiful combo. That outfit with lilac is a winning NAS; glad the black tops worked out, too. Well done.

Oooh -- you did brilliantly at the sale! Love the. new jeans/ top and the lilac scarf. Too bad about the boots -- they'd have bookended your hair so well.... Also wish some of these items had been available in Canada. Sigh....

Hope you are doing well. It's been such a tough year. You look beautiful as ever.

I miss your WIWs, Denise! It's great to see you. Echoing what everyone else has said, I love the terra cotta pieces--those jeans are awesome! And the second pic with the lavender scarf in the mix, against your mustard-y wall (at least on my monitor), looks like a painting! Gorgeous.

You look so good in those pieces! Your hair is looking great, too. I appreciate your reviews.

Hello All! Honestly I've had an incredibly hard year with Danny dying and so have thrown myself into work, which is necessary because I've been understaffed.  That's why I haven't been able to participate in the forum like I used to.

Anyway I was very pleased with NAS and wish I didn't have to return any of it but that's the way on line shopping goes.

Gryffin -- I did keep that paisley blazer from Cinq a Sept but haven't worn it yet, sigh.  Even though I got it over a year ago.  The only social gatherings I've participated in since the pandemic started are one wedding on July 1st and one birthday party on July 13.  We had that little window before Delta.

Firecraker -- I got some color in my hair.  It's definitely adding to the personal care expense but I need help at my age!!

Everyone else, thanks so much for commenting on my thread.

Cocolion - I'm truly glad you kept that jacket.  I know quarantine may make it seem like a waste, but this will end.  Parties and special ocassions will occur and that jacket is so special and looked totally divine on.  My guy say there will be a time when you are glad you have it in your closet ready for lots of fun adventures!!

  • LAR101 replied 2 years ago

I remember that blazer and thought it was very wonderful ! I’m glad you’ve kept.

Cocolion, I’m sorry you’ve had a hard year and sorry for your loss of Danny. I hope this coming year brings some joy.

  • Angie replied 2 years ago

Sweet, Denise. It's absolutely gutting that Danny passed away. My heart goes out to you, and I am sooooo sorry. Please know that YLF is here to support you - if only by means of fun distraction from time to time. Much love. xo

  • Ana replied 2 years ago

Hi Cocolion! I love your NAS finds! You look absolutely fantastic and stylish, as always. :) I picked up the Arya jeans in blue and they are my new favorite jeans. The terracotta looks amazing on you and I love how you styled them with the matching tank.

I'm so sorry for your loss and difficult year. I'm sending gentle comforting energy to you.

  • LAR101 replied 2 years ago

Angie says it so much better but that’s what I mean. Hug.

Wishing you love and blessings this coming year.

  • Jaime replied 2 years ago

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Denise. I am sending warm thoughts and sympathy.
You do look beautiful in your photos and the new jeans are fabulous on you.

  • Suz replied 2 years ago

Denise -- I'm so sorry for your loss. What a hard, hard time this has been. Thinking of you.

  • Jonesy replied 2 years ago

Denise, I am so sorry to hear this! What an awful year you have had! I know we don't know each other, but yet I feel like I sort of know you after so many years here on YLF, and I am deeply sorry.

I hope you can find some comfort with the supportive people in your life. And I also hope that your restaurant can stabilize soon. What a dreadful, dreadful time.
