Another gray ensemble anyone?

I have a lot of gray clothes so this was one Angie ensemble I could pull off.

What do you think?

First Picture - today's outfit
Purse -- Fossil
Booties -- Seychelles
Jeans -- Indigo Rein (cheap junior's brand from TJ Maxx)
Cardigan -- Vince
Top -- Vince

Scarf -- Zara

Second Picture - worn last month
Same cardigan, booties, bag as above (buying matching boots and bag was my great idea for A/W 2014!)
Belt is from Madewell
Jeans -- Kut
Top -- Looks like a plain white tee, can't tell!

Scarf -- TJ Maxx

Are you kidding? Love it! Both renditions.

  • kellygirl replied 9 years ago

Terrific! I especially love the light blue scarf with 1. So pretty! You are looking fab:)

  • texstyle replied 9 years ago

I also esp. like the light blue scarf in #1 - very pretty combination of soft, neutral colors!

  • CocoLion replied 9 years ago

kellygirl -- I have you to thank for the booties!  Did you keep yours or find another in this color?

    Thanks jackiec!

  • CocoLion replied 9 years ago

    Thanks texstyle!

So I actually first tried this ensemble with my Rag & Bone heeled (over 3.5" heel) booties.  But, they are not realistic all-day shoes.  In fact I'm thinking of consigning them because I hardly ever wear such high heels anymore.

But I think I prefer the cognac booties anyway, because the warm color brings a little life to my complexion.

I love #1 especially with the addition of the light blue scarf. I have always loved gray with white adding an icy blue just finishes the look for me especially when jeans and cognac accessories are added to the mix. LOVE!

I was wondering if those were the same ones I got. I ended up keeping those and returning the Hamiltons. I love them. So comfy and I adore the color. They are terrific in your outfits!

Eta: great purse too. Perfect color!

Great looks CL.  #1 is especially fab on you - the blue of the jeans with the cognac looks so fresh imo.

  • merwoman replied 9 years ago

Yes please! Amazing the difference made by swapping the cognac booties for grey. Love #1 particularly - great line and blue scarf brings out your beautiful eyes and complexion.

The first look is fabulous--it took my breath away.

  • Vicki replied 9 years ago

Oh my gosh, I'm breathless with the first photo!  WOW!!

I KNEW you could pull this ensemble off and this is how you do it.  Fabulous.

    P. S.  I adore that blue scarf and you've opened up a whole new arena for jeans with that T J Maxx pair.  Love the wash on them.

    Beautiful, Denise, Absolutely beautiful.

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

This is absolutely stunning on you, Denise! You wear these soft neutrals SOOOOO well. Gorgeous.

LisaP was just saying the same thing about her Rag&Bone booties, and I think Janet was, as well. Alas.....

  • Susie replied 9 years ago

Beautiful! I really want an ice blue scarf now because it's just gorgeous with the gray and white, 2 of my favorite colors. You wear jeans so well.

  • catgirl replied 9 years ago

    100% on board here!

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

Both outfits look fantastic! I love the blue scarf in #1.

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

Both are fab - agree the blue scarf looks fantastic in particular, and I love the cognac booties/bag combination!

  • Dimity replied 9 years ago

Both outfits are lovely. I want that cardigan!

  • rute replied 9 years ago

Love! I have to copy thos one ;)

  • Style Fan replied 9 years ago

Number 1 is so amazing on you.  I love light blue with your colouring.  Not colours I could wear.  Great jeans!  Love, love, love those booties.  I have cognac booties with heels that I rarely wear.  Perhaps I should investigate this brand.

I will have to copy this look with warm neutrals.

  • replied 9 years ago

Love both! I agree about the cognac booties too, I love the rich colour.

  • Summer replied 9 years ago

These are really beautiful outfits, two of the nicest renditions of Angie's grey/white/blue ensemble post that I've seen.  I particularly like the first rendition, with that gorgeous blue scarf, and I also like the way you've accessorised with  the cognac? bag and booties - they bring just that little extra something to two already-fantastic outfits.

  • kkards replied 9 years ago

oh, i love this with the cognac boots and bag! and the baby blue scarf is lovely. need to think about getting some light color denim.

  • Astrid replied 9 years ago

I love both looks! You look great. I prefer the cognac with it too.

  • replied 9 years ago

I love both! Great colour pairings. The white with cognac looks so fresh yet appropriate for this time of year. You've inspired me to to pull my white jeans out of storage and pair with cognac.

  • Lisa replied 9 years ago

These soft shades are lovely on you.  And that sweater has a really nice drape to it too.

  • lyn67 replied 9 years ago

    Love them! BOTH!

  • Joy replied 9 years ago

More love for those soft neutrals on you, but the blue scarf steals the show. You need to wear it with everything. The warm brown of bag and booties is beautiful on you too. The color looks more toffee than cognac on my screen but I think either shade would work.

  • Elizabeth P replied 9 years ago

    Gorgeous Denise!

  • Inge replied 9 years ago

I too love both renditions, with an extra soft spot for the first one because of the light blue scarf. So flattering on you, Denise! Fab how the pale blue works so well with the light wash of your jeans.
The cognac footwear in both outfits adds that extra je-ne-sais-quoi. I'm taking notes!

  • rachylou replied 9 years ago

Very smart. You wear this look so naturally. I like the blue scarf one best... because I have a blue scarf :)

  • Marley replied 9 years ago

Woa Denise!  So super cool - love both outfits - and love the touch of warm color (cognac) with them.  You look gorgeous in that color of blue - it's my favorite of the two outfits - could be because that shade of blue is one of my favorite colors - but regardless, you look beautiful!

  • Deborah replied 9 years ago

Such fab outfits. Love the colour combo on you and this is a great silhouette. As with many of your outfits, this is being favourited with a view to copying;)

  • Lyn D. replied 9 years ago

I would not have thought how Fab grey and cognac could be together- must try myself!

  • Debbie replied 9 years ago

    Beautiful Denise!

  • replied 9 years ago

I think you wore the 2nd outfit on the cruise? The relative brightness of it seems perfect for a slightly chilly seaside day but from the my perspective of deep winter (think snow) the first outfit looks like what's coming next, early spring, soft and refreshing. You look lovely.

  • Sveta replied 9 years ago

Denise. they are both great but I am seriously in love with #1. Light grey, white, light blue and cognac instead of black - it was inspired rendition of Angie's ensemble.
You need to wear this shade of light blue more often - you look stunning in it!
